Project description: The aim of the project is to develop a new production process for treating the pre-extraction raw material for the subsequent extraction of the active API in pharmacological form, in order to increase the yield efficiency of the input material.

Subsidy: CZK 4,867,000

Conclusions and results: By implementing the project “Efficient Silymarin Production”, the applicant will be able to launch a new natural product with a high content of the silymarin complex and thus increase its current sales while maintaining its current production capacity, as the new product will be sold at a higher price than the current one. An overall increase in production capacity, which depends on the input material in the form of harvested milk thistle fruit, is realistically possible within 3–5 years (see the description in chapter 4.1 for details). The applicant’s production for the pharmaceutical industry is based on long-term contracts, so following the successful completion of the R&D project, production volume could increase after 2024.

Project description: The aim of the project is to purchase 2 electric vehicles for the employees of IREL, spol. s r.o., including a charging station located on the company premises and used to charge the purchased vehicles.

Eligible expenditure: CZK 2,940,000

Subsidy for both Tesla vehicles: CZK 692,231

Conclusions and results: By implementing the project, the applicant achieved its objective: operating electric vehicles for business activities.

Project name: Energy Savings at IREL

Project description: The proposed measures consist of replacing the existing raw material processing line with newly acquired technology and replacing the unsatisfactory lighting in the applicant’s production buildings with new LED sources, which are more environmentally friendly thanks to lower energy consumption and lower CO2 emissions compared to the current state.

IREL used financial support to install a photovoltaic power plant on the roofs of its production buildings

The project focuses on building a photovoltaic power plant with a total output of 99.99 kWp and installing battery storage to cover the company’s own energy consumption at the applicant’s production site in Miroslavské Knínice.

The project was co-financed by the European Union through the CAP Strategic Plan for 2023–2027.

The project resulted in the purchase of a liquid chromatograph, which enables highly efficient acquisition of reliable data to ensure higher production quality.

At the same time, the company’s newly established shop was equipped.
